How It Works
Enrolling your vehicle into the RelayRides program is easy, safe and can earn you thousands of dollars per year.
If you are located in the Boston area and want to be a part of this revolutionary service that is reinventing car ownership as we know it, you’re only 3 steps away from getting started!
Step 1 – Enroll Your Car.
Fill out our quick online registration form, answering some questions about what kind of car you drive and how much time you think you’d be able to lend it out. There is no obligation to continue once you fill out this form. Once we have the information on file, our Operations Team will get in touch with you by email or phone to answer any questions you may have and talk you through the entire process.
Step 2 – Device Setup.
When you’re ready to continue, we’ll have one of our certified mechanics install a small In-Vehicle computer inside your car. This device controls the locks and ignition and allows approved RelayRides members to access your car with a valid reservation and a membership card, so you don’t have to exchange keys. The device is non-invasive and can be removed at any time if you change your mind.
Step 3 – Set Your Schedule and Rates.
As a car owner, you are in complete control. You set the hours that the car is available and how much you want to charge per hour. Of course, the more it’s available, the more money you can earn! Borrowers will be able to reserve the vehicle during those hours and you’ll get a check in the mail each month!
